Ekiti youths hold candlelight parade in memory of Mohbad
On Tuesday, youths in Ekiti State came to the streets of Ado Ekiti, the state capital, to participate in a candle procession in memory of the late popular Afrobeat Star, Imole Aloba, well known as Mohbad.
The youngsters marched in a long procession from Adebayo area, Ekiti State University road to Fajuyi park, where they were joined by youths from various sections of the state capital to say the late artists farewell.
The construction also produced a traffic bottleneck beneath the Fajuyi Bridge as motorists sought alternate routes.
In an interview, some of the youths grieved the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
To preserve calm throughout the parade, security operatives including police, RRS officials, Army, and Civil Defence, among others, were on the ground to ensure the demonstrators’ protection and safety.
