Eti-Osa Rerun: Banky W break silence on Tribunal judgment

Olubankole Wellington, a.k.a Banky W, a famous Nigerian singer and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos State, has reacted to the Election Petition Tribunal’s verdict.
Platinum Times recalls that the Labour Party’s candidate, Thaddeus Atta, was declared the legitimately elected lawmaker for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency by the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal on Monday at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.
The court ruled that the election was invalid and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to run a supplemental election in 33 polling units where polls did not take place within 90 days.
During an interview on Channels Tv Politics Today on Wednesday, Banky W applauded the Tribunal’s decision and termed it as a miracle.
“For me personally, it’s a miracle in and of itself that we get another chance to finish the election.
“I think it’s a testament to the power of perseverance, the power of faith, and the collective will of the people who want to participate in the rebuilding of this democracy,” he said.
