FRSC officer dies, three others injured in Abuja auto crash

One person was killed and three others were gravely hurt in a deadly collision involving a Dangote truck and a towing vehicle owned by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

Near the Karu Bridge, on the Kugbo-Nyanya Expressway, the accident happened on Friday around three in the morning.

According to Walter Amechi, the VIO Area Commander in Kugbo, the disaster was the result of mechanical failure.

He claimed that the FRSC car was pulling a cement-loading Dangote truck which had previously had brake failure to the VIO headquarters in Kugbo.

He claimed that while the driver of the Dangote truck, his conductor, and one other passenger suffered injuries, the driver of the towing van was discovered dead and trapped inside the vehicle.
