Theresa Nyitse has been appointed as the state’s acting comptroller general by Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, the governor of Benue State.
Tersoo Kula, the Governor’s chief press secretary, said in a statement on Wednesday that Alia’s appointment is effective right away.
According to Kula, the appointment was detailed in a letter that was signed by Prof. Joseph Alakali, Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

Prior to her most recent position, Nyitse worked as an accountant for the Office of the Accountant General of Benue State’s Central Accounts.
She will succeed Mr. Agwaza Iorkpiligh, who has served as the state’s Accountant General.
