The governor failed to disclose the names of the candidates when he forwarded a list of commissioner-nominees to the Benue State House of Assembly for screening on July 27. He claimed that the names of the nominees would be divulged during screening.
The governor was accused by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of sending a “ghost list” to the House, which caused controversy.
The Speaker revealed the nominees’ names on Tuesday and announced that screening would start on Thursday, August 10.
