Gov Kefas sets up assets recovery team in Taraba

Governor Agbu Kefas has set-up a commission tasked with evaluating and reclaiming all stolen property from Taraba State.

The Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Gebon Kataps, provided a press release with the announcement to media in Jalingo, the state’s capital.

The committee is tasked for counting all movable and immovable property in Kaduna, including the liaison office in Lagos, Abuja, and any other Federal Capital Territory location.

The committee was instructed by the governor, who is adamant about getting back all of the state’s stolen property, to conduct an overall evaluation of each asset’s financial worth as well as its fitness for use by the state government.

The Committee was instructed to provide the state government with pertinent recommendations, and it has four weeks to do so before submitting its reports.

Its secretary is Saleh Aji, and its leader is retired major general Habila Vintenaba.

Aside from the other nominations, other members include Retired Colonel Nwunuke Agyo, Retired Navy Captain Atiku Bakari, Professor Mahmud Hamid Umar, and Fatima Hassan.
