On Monday, gunmen allegedly attacked the former Oyo National Park in Saki East Local Government.
According to sources who provided Platinum Times with photographic evidence, at least one person was killed and two more were kidnapped.
According to a source who pleaded not to be identified, many people were also hurt, and one of the abductees managed to escape.
As of the time of reporting this article on Monday, the names of the guy slain during the invasion and the abducted victim had not been made public.
However, Adewale Osifeso, the Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Police Command, stated in a statement that no lives were lost during the event.
According to him, preliminary investigations revealed that several local vigilante organizations in the area engaged alleged abductors in a gun battle, resulting in three of their members (vigilantes) being injured.
“Consequent on the above, it is important to note that no life was lost; the injured are presently responding to the medical intervention availed to them at the hospital,” the statement affirmed.
