On Wednesday, suspected gunmen kidnapped Mr. Adegbenjo from Community High School, Alabata, in Oyo State’s Akinyele Local Government Area.
The victim, an albino secondary school teacher, was taken early Wednesday morning while trekking to school.
Residents thought that the victim’s abduction, as an albino, was tied to a ritual kidnapping.
Some people have long believed that albinos were good for attracting money, making them vulnerable to money rituals.
Another teacher at the same school, who requested anonymity, urged for a coordinated effort by the police and local vigilantes to quickly storm and search the forest at Alabata on the Iseyin-Moniya Road to rescue the victim.
”We are pleading that the vigilante group and policemen be dispatched to the forest around Alabata to search for him before anything ciuld happen to him,” the teacher pleaded.
