Gunmen kidnap Isaac Gbaja, CBN’s assistant manager in Nasarawa
Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped Isaac Gbaja, an Assistant Manager of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) Lafia branch in Nasarawa, and are seeking N10 million in ransom.
According to sources, Gbaja was kidnapped on Monday, November 13, 2023, along with two other unidentified people.
He was abducted with the other victims around 8 p.m., according to reports.
He was also taken up at his wife’s joint near MACFES Royal Suites on Kwandere Road in Tudun Gwandara, Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The event comes just 24 hours after a councillor in Lafia Local Government Council, Agidi Ajeh, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen and rescued.
Meanwhile, there has been no confirmation of the claimed kidnapping of CBN staff by the Nasarawa State Police Command.
