Havilla University names building after Tinubu’s daughter

The management of Havilla University has finalized plans to open an academic facility named after President Bola Tinubu’s daughter, Dr. Mrs. Mujidat Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, in Nde, Ikom LGA, Cross River State.
The private university’s management also planned to utilize the occasion to inaugurate members of the institution’s Governing Council to ensure the university’s smooth administration.
Hon. Jones Tangban, the University’s founder and former House of Representatives member representing Cross River State’s Ikom/Boki federal district, confirmed this in a telephone chat with LEADERSHIP on Wednesday.
The former legislator added that the University, which was formed in 2021, was his way of contributing to the development of Nigeria’s education sector.
Meanwhile, a letter signed by Havilla University’s Pro-Chancellor, Chief Dr. Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, dated February 17, 2024, praised members of the institution’s Governing Council for their support upon her assumption of office as Pro-Chancellor.
The pro-chancellor noted that the ceremony will provide an opportunity for the institution’s management and the governing council to unveil the academic complex named after her.
“I will also unveil the Chief Dr. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo complex on the same day,” she said, urging council members to make themselves available for the ceremony.
“In order to fulfil the directives of National University Commission, I am pleased to inform you and the university management that Saturday, March 9, 2024, has been approved by me for inauguration of Governing Council.
“Thank you for the honour to lead the Governing Council of Havilla University and the naming of academic complex after me,” she added.
