How Akeredolu fought for true federalism – Minister

Mr Dele Alake, Minister of Solid Minerals Development, has praised Ondo’s former governor Rotimi Akeredolu as a fighter for the establishment of true federalism.
On Thursday, the minister eulogized Akeredolu in a condolence message to his family, Ondo people, and other loved ones.
Gov. Akeredolu died on Wednesday in a German hospital. He was 67 years old.
According to Alake, the deceased made a space for himself as a fearless and unyielding protector of the interests of the Ondo people and the Yoruba country.
“I am deeply shocked by the loss of a brother, friend and indeed one of the leaders of the progressive movement.
“As State Governor, he made the welfare of the people the focal point of governance.
“Nigeria has lost a titan, but we are consoled by the fact that he left an indelible mark in the political firmament,” he said.
