Samaila Ilu, 35, hung himself to death in Jigawa State due to his challenging circumstances.
According to Platinum Times, the police spokesman DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the event.

“On 17/08/2023 at about 1100hrs, police received a report that a 35-year-old man Samaila Ilu of Dungun Tantama village, Hausa local government, left his house on 16/08/2023 to an unknown destination.”
Later, he claimed, his body was discovered with a rope hanging on a tree, leading many to believe he had killed himself.
Shiisu claimed that a group of police officers retrieved the body and transported it to the hospital for an autopsy.
He claimed that his relatives had since been given permission to bury it.
