IPOB Sit-At-Home: Govt of Enugu Seals Shops Observing Order

In response to the Indigenous People of Biafra’s (IPOB) call to stay at home, the Enugu State Government on Monday closed down businesses in the state’s major markets.

This follows the governor’s ultimatum that businesses in the state open for business or risk having their doors locked last week.

The goal of the operation, according to the team leader from the Enugu State Capital Territory Development Authority, Secretary to the State Government Chidiebere Onyia, was to demonstrate the government’s commitment.

He continued by saying it was done to help individuals who demonstrated a desire to follow government instructions.
