Jamb highest scorer Kamsiyochukwu Umeh smashes WAEC with 8 A1
In the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), Kamsiyochukwu Umeh, the top scorer in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), passed all of her papers with 8 A1s and a B2.
Umeh, a 16-year-old student at Deeper Life High School in Mowe, Ogun State, received an A1 in Physics and a B2 in each of the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Further Mathematics, Economics, Civic Education, and Computer Studies.
She had previously been praised for having the highest overall score in the 2023 UTME, 360.
She earned 99 points in chemistry, 98 points in math, 97 points in physics, and 66 points in English.
The native of Anambra State was given various honors, including a scholarship from the state.
Chief Eric Umeofia, the CEO of Erisco Foods Limited, and others also gave her a monetary award of N2.5 million.
