Jubilation as Emmanuel TV dumps DSTV for FTA
Emmanuel TV, the broadcasting branch of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), is switching from the DSTV cable platform to Free to Air (FTA) Decoder.
This followed the channel’s delisting from its platform on January 17 due to allegations identified by Emmanuel TV fans as “flimsy and spurious”.
Already, thousands of Emmanuel TV viewers have switched from DSTV to HD decoders.
DSTV, it was learned, wrote to SCOAN, claiming that Emmanuel TV viewers were no longer strong enough to keep the Christian channel on its stable.
However, SCOAN disagreed with DSTV’s assertion and requested empirical proof, which DSTV allegedly refused to supply before disconnecting the station, in what an Emmanuel TV viewer described as a deliberate decision.
According to sources, Emmanuel TV had previously faced pressure and criticism for “airing offensive broadcasts against the mental health of some people in the world”.
According to the church, the so-called offended persons are those who identified as LGTBQ and gained deliverance during SCOAN ceremonies.
In its Sunday service, SCOAN announced a migration from DSTV, GOTV, and all other pay cable platforms, urging all Emmanuel TV viewers worldwide to follow suit to Free To Air FTA High Definition HD Decoder, Apple TV, FireTV stick, Roku TV, and Google TV, all available for download on the Apple Store and Google Play, where “accessing Emmanuel TV is about to become more versatile, more convenient, and more reliable”.
