JUST-IN: Ekiti APC Chairman Omotoso dies after brief illness
Paul Omotoso, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, is dead.
According to family relatives, the Imesi-Ekiti-born politician and lawyer died on Wednesday morning following a brief illness.
Omotosho, who had been active and attended a number of political meetings earlier in the week, was alleged to have complained about his health on Tuesday, prompting him to be transported to a government hospital in the state capital, where he eventually died.
It should be noted that the late APC chairman was kidnapped by gunmen in July 2023 and released five days later at the militants’s hideout.
Fatai Adams, the Chairman of the Ondo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), died in mid-February, and Omotoso died shortly after.
