Just In: Explosion rocks UNICAL Library

The special education department at the University of Calabar reportedly experienced an explosion on Wednesday.
The precise cause of the explosion are yet unknown.
However, the university administration swiftly ordered the employees and students to leave right once for safety.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Florence Obi, has directed that the Library be closed down immediately, according to a statement from the Registrar, Gabriel Egbe, which confirmed the explosion.
Additionally, it was instructed that pupils not enter the building.
The decision to shut down the building is effective immediately, according to a section of the release. In order to enforce the sealing of the facility and ensure an immediate and complete evacuation of the personnel, students, and property, the university librarian and top security officer must work together.
It may be recalled that the same building had previously been placed under state of emergency by the university’s present administration, led by Prof. Obi.
