Just In: Ohinoyi of Ebira land, Ado Ibrahim passes away at 95

Ado Ibrahim, the Ohinoyi of Ebira land and a paramount ruler of Kogi State, has joined his forefathers.

He had a brief illness before passing away in the early hours of Sunday.

It was learned by Platinum Times that the well-known monarch, who passed away at the age of 95, will be buried in accordance with Islamic customs.

Recall that in 1997, the late Prince Abubakar Audu, the governor of Kogi State at the time, crowned the late Ado Ibrahim as the Ohinoyi of Ebira land.

He succeeded his predecessor, Alhaji Sanni Omolorim, who ruled from 1957 until 1997.

The late Ado Ibrahim, who was born on February 7, 1929, completed his primary education in 1940 at the Native Authority (NA) primary school in Okene, Northern Region (now Kogi State). He also attended both western nursery and Quranic schools.

He attended Ondo Boys High School for his secondary schooling before transferring to Oduduwa College, from which he graduated in 1949.

He graduated from the London School of Economics in 1954 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and Harvard Business School in 1959 with a master’s degree.
