Kaduna CP launches manhunt for killers of corp member

A manhunt has been launched by the Kaduna State police for three suspects in the murder of Grace Chayla Silas, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), who was killed in the state’s Barnawa region.
Platinum Time remembers that on October 18 while performing a physical activity in the Barnawa neighborhood of the city, Silas was attacked and died.
She was killed by unidentified motorcycle-riding males.
The state commissioner of police, CP Musa Yusuf Garba, reaffirmed his commitment to bringing her attackers to justice and safeguarding the safety of corps members in their lodges in a statement released by the police public relations officer, ASP Mansur Hassan.
The statement claims that Garba made this comment while hosting a delegation from the NYSC in his office, which was led by Mr. Kehinde Aremu Cole, the Zonal Director for the North West.
He sent his sympathies to the corps’ Director-General, staff, the deceased’s close family members, as well as to her friends and coworkers.
Earlier, Cole asked the police and the NYSC to work together more to improve the security of corps members, especially in their housing. Cole was joined by the state director, Mr. Hassan Mahmud Taura, and other staff members.
