Kano Govt. offers permanent job, Hajj seat to Man who returned dollars
				The Kano State Government announced on Tuesday that Malam Dayyabu Bala Gezawa had received a permanent position, a ticket for the Hajj, and a payment of one million naira.
Gezawa, a temporary employee of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, was given N16 million as compensation for his honesty in retrieving lost money.
According to reports, Gezawa discovered the cash while performing his duties and gave it to the board’s director general.
The sum was included in one local government region of the state’s Basic Travel Allowance for pilgrims.
During the State Pilgrims Welfare Board’s presentation of the 2023 Hajj report, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf stated that his administration chose to reward him as a way of showing thanks for his sincerity.
He remarked, “Despite his status and the country’s economic distress, this casual worker has demonstrated his integrity by returning lost money.
