Late rapper Dagrin’s mum says she’s struggling, begs for help
The late rapper Dagrin’s mother has pleaded with Nigerians for assistance, admitting that she has been living in abject poverty ever since her son’s terrible death.
The old woman said in a video that has gone viral online that she sells food by the side of the road, but the work is very taxing on her because of her age, and the money she makes is not enough to support her family.
According to sources, Yaba revealed that she frequently relocates while attempting to support herself because certain people are aware that she is the late rap star’s mother.
The distraught mother claimed that she has been told to ask Davido or Olamide, two of Nigeria’s top artists, for help, but she doesn’t want to burden them with her difficulties because she sees them as her own children.
She begged well-meaning Nigerians to help her live in better conditions. She mentioned that she needs a separate residence because she now lives with her sister.
“Please I am poor and I want Nigerians to come and help me, I currently sell food by the roadside but the stress is too much and I am getting really old.
“I need accommodation, please Nigerians I need like N3 million – N5million, I can’t go and beg rapper, Olamide for money because it is somehow as he is not an Elder, I look at him like a son,” she said in part.
Recall that Dagrin was involved in a car accident on April 14, 2010, and that he passed away 8 days later, on April 22, 2010, at the age of 25 in Lagos, Nigeria.
He was recognized as one of Nigeria’s early Pidgin and Yoruba dialect rap performers.
