lifeless body of missing university student found in Abuja
Blessing Karami, a female student of the National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, who went missing on September 11, has been found dead in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja.
SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed this to Platinum Times on Thursday.
She stated that the deceased’s bones were recovered in a wooded region of the nation’s capital’s Karimo district.
The 26-year-old woman’s disappearance was reported to authorities on September 14, 2023, according to police.
The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Haruna G. Garba, has demanded a comprehensive investigation into the “circumstances surrounding Blessing Karami Moses’ untimely death,” according to the PPRO.
She stated that the command is firm in its commitment to the murder investigation and is determined to unearth both the local and remote reasons of the unfortunate tragedy.
She stated that the command is collaborating with the Abuja Environmental Protection Board, AEPB, to collect the rotting body.
“We will continue to provide updates to the public as our investigation progresses.
“Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of Blessing Karami Moses during this difficult time”, the PPRO added.
