Mr. Olanrewaju Kolawole, 44, broke down in tears when it was discovered through DNA testing that none of his four children were his real offspring.
In response to the realization that the children were not his, he made this revelation, as shown in a now-viral video.
The father was an Ikire, Osun State native, and he and his spouse, Mrs. Tella Toyin, had four children together: Ayomide, 16, Sarah, 12, and two more, who were five and eight years old, respectively.
But when Kolawole and Toyin appeared on the well-liked radio program “Kokoro Alate” on Agidigbo FM, Ibadan, which is hosted by Oriyomi Hamzat, the issue of paternity fraud was made public.
The father stated that he tested the other three children, all of which came back negative, after the initial DNA test on the first child showed that the child did not belong to him.
He said, in part,
“I want Nigerians to come to my rescue because I must not suffer this in vain. I married Toyin in 2007 and gave birth to four children. She gave birth to four children, but none of them belongs to me after findings from a DNA test.”
Asked why he decided to conduct the test in the first place, he said he made the decision to carry out the tests on his children after observing some promiscuous moves from his wife.
The DNA test was conducted at the DDC DNA Diagnostic Center in Osogbo.
However, reacting to the development, Mrs. Tella Toyin disagreed with the results, saying that she was not there when they took the sample and did not know which samples were taken.
She said,
“I don’t accept the result. I don’t accept it because I was not there when they took samples, and I don’t know which sample they took, so I don’t accept it. I can’t accept it because I know how I conceived those children.”
The couple got married in 2007 and are members of the same church in the Ikoyi area of Osun State. (Sunday Vanguard)
