Ugochi Mitchel Ihezue, the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) 2017 winner from Imo State, was elected Miss Universe Nigeria 2023 in a momentous event for Nigerian beauty pageants.

Her name will go down in the history of Nigerian pageantry as the first woman to win both esteemed titles thanks to her amazing accomplishment.

Ihezue beat out 36 other exceptional contenders despite great opposition to win the prestigious Miss Universe crown.

On Sunday, September 10th, the event was held at the lavish Convention Center of the Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos.

Miss Borno won the Miss Amity award, Miss Taraba wowed in the Best Traditional Costume category, and Miss Nasarawa won the Miss Photogenic award at the event.

Ihezue promotes women breaking free from social restrictions to embrace boundless possibilities in addition to the glitz and glamour. Her dedication to this cause prompted her to enroll in the demanding MBA program at the esteemed Lagos Business School, giving her the information and abilities she needed to advocate for women’s emancipation.

Ihezue, the current Miss Universe Nigeria, will compete at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant, which will be held in El Salvador on November 18, 2023, and will serve as a worldwide ambassador for her nation.

Miss Universe Nigeria was given fresh life in 2023 by Silverbird Productions, setting it apart from MBGN.

Ben Murray-Bruce’s brother Guy Murray-Bruce announced that MUN has adopted a new format that emphasizes inclusivity regardless of marital status, body type, skin tone, height, or weight, setting it apart from its Westernized predecessor.
