Ministerial nominee withdrawal – Maryam Shetty break silence
Following President Bola Tinubu’s decision to revoke her nomination for a ministerial position, Dr. Maryam Shetty has responded.
The Kano politician expressed her continued gratitude for Tinubu’s unwavering support and expressed appreciation for any decision he made.
“I just learned now at today’s plenary session that President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has withdrawn my ministerial nomination and replaced me with Dr. Mariga Mahmoud,” she wrote in a series of posts on her social media site on Friday.
“I’m grateful and thankful for any decision from you, My President!”
Shetty’s nomination for a cabinet seat was withdrawn by Tinubu on Friday, and she was replaced by Dr. Mariga Mahmoud, another Kano State candidate.
Godswill Akpabio, President of the Senate, received the communication from the President, who read it out during plenary.
However, Shetty’s replacement as a ministerial nominee was not explained by Tinubu.
