Mohbad’s wife and mother to his 5 months old son mourns his passing as she becomes a widow at just 24.
The 27-year-old Nigerian rapper, musician, and songwriter tragically passed away on September 12, 2023, according to Platinum Times Nigeria.
His wife wrote;
“We had so many plans, two responsibilities has now become one… I tried my best to make you stay…aaaaaaah I repeat I don’t wish this type of pain on anyone.” – CY
Platinum Times reports that Mohbad had a contract with Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records, but he quit the company in 2022, before his untimely death.
His successful tunes, such as “Ponmo,” “Feel Good,” and “KPK (Ko Por Ke),” which he co-wrote with Rexxie, helped him acquire recognition. Notably, the latter song garnered three nominations for The Headies awards in 2022.
