Mohbad: Police issues fresh warnings, says: ‘this is not trial by media’

The Lagos State Police Command has warned that its “this is not trial by media” in the probe into the death of late rapper Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

The Command’s spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, emphasized on Saturday evening that the probe will not be transformed into a media trial.

Hundeyin was reacting to calls from many sources for certain people to be interrogated and the results of Mohbad’s autopsy to be made public.

He emphasized that the police will adhere to established norms.

Hundeyin said,

“This is not trial by media.

“The right questions will be asked and answered at the right place, before the right people, but most importantly, at the right time.

“Our hands will not be forced. Nonetheless, rest assured that every single homicide investigation protocol is being followed, as there is zero tolerance for shoddiness.”

Platinum Times recalls that Mohbad died under controversial circumstances on September 12, 2023.
