Mohbad: We wont use stereotyped methodology – Police speaks on strategy for investigation

Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, has stated that the Nigeria Police Force will question as many people as possible in order to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of late Nigerian musician, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

The 27-year-old artist, who was a previous signee of Naira Marley at Marlian Records, died last Tuesday, according to Platinum Times.

The Force PRO made the announcement early Tuesday morning via his X (previously Twitter) profile, @Princemoye1.

“Mohbad: Let us open our minds and broaden the scope of the investigation to solve the case,” he tweeted.

“Many would, by now, agree with me or concur with my assertion that we need a thorough investigation to expose some hidden facts.

“We will torchlight many areas and interrogate as many as possible to get to the root of the matter and have justice done.”

He cautioned that investigations need to be flexible and multi-faceted, rather than being based on a “stereotyped methodology.”

“In investigation, you don’t have a mindset or stereotyped methodology, but be flexible, open-minded, and adopt multi-faceted approaches for a good result.

“The investigation is ongoing. let’s wait and see how it goes,” he assured.

Platinum Times recalls that the Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, stated on Monday, September 18, that the command has formed a special investigating team to look into Mohbad’s death.

Hundeyin stated that the team will submit an interim report within two weeks.

He went on to say that the 13-man investigation team will conduct a covert inquiry that will include exhumation, autopsy/toxicology/histology, site visit, hospital/medical report, and records of suspects’/witnesses’ testimonies.
