Murder: Anambra Police personnel declared wanted
The Anambra State Police Command has issued a wanted notice for Inspector Audu Omadefu, a command operative accused of murder.
Ikenga Tochukwu, the Police spokesperson, explained the issue in a press release on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, stating that the fleeing Inspector Omadefu can be identified by his service number AP No. 362178.
According to Tochukwu, the inspector went into hiding following the charge, and his current location is unknown.
The police have asked the public for help in locating Omadefu, stating that any information offered would be kept strictly secret.
The Anambra State Police Command issued a statement urging the community to report sightings of the runaway officer or provide any pertinent information by contacting the local police station.
“Alternatively, individuals can reach out directly to the Command’s Control Room at 07039194332 or communicate with the Public Relations Officer via 08039334002,” the statement said.
