Simisola Kosoko, also known as Simi, is a well-known musician who has said that her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication is not a “waste.”
According to Platinum Times, Simi graduated with a degree in mass communication from the esteemed Covenant University but set her degree aside in favor of the microphone.
Simi has maintained that her degree “did not waste” even if she didn’t use the diploma or get a job with a media company.
Obviously, impressed by how she communicates through her music and social media, Simi took to her Twitter handle to brag, “At least my Mass Comm degree did not waste.”
Over the years, a cross section of Nigerian entertainers who are lawyers, doctors, engineers have come out to say they abandoned their academic qualifications to chase their passion in the entertainment industry.
