Naira gains at I&E window, exchange at N757.51/$

Tuesday saw a strengthening of the Nigerian naira against the dollar, reaching N757.51 at the Investors and Exporters (I&E) window.

Comparing the local currency to N774.78, which it swapped for the dollar on Monday, the local currency increased by 2.23 percent.

On Tuesday, the open indicative rate reached a high of N782.59 to the dollar.

Prior to settling at N757.51 in the day’s trade, the spot exchange rate reached a high of N799.90 to the dollar.

During the day’s trade, the value of the naira fell to as low as N700 to the dollar.

On Tuesday, transactions at the investors and exporters window totaled $45.98 million.
