Dr. Olayemi Cardoso as begin is term as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The apex bank’s Director of Corporate Communication, Dr. Isa Abdulmumin, revealed this in a statement today, Friday.
He also stated that Dr. Cardoso would serve as acting Governor until his nomination is confirmed by the National Assembly.

Similarly, Mr. Folashodun Shonubi, who has been serving as CBN Governor since Mr. Emefiele’s suspension, has resigned, as have all of the CBN’s Deputy Governors.
