Niger: Gov. Bago joins US-Africa Leaders to boost sustainable agriculture
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State joined other US-African Business leaders in an Executive Roundtable to discuss ways of deploying financial innovation and tools to drive sustainable agricultural transformation in Africa.
The meeting was organized by the US-African Business Center of the United States Chamber of Commerce on the sidelines of the 2024 World Bank/IMF Spring Meeting with a particular focus on providing the Enabling Ecosystems that will support agriculture development for smallholder farmers in Africa.
The meeting is geared toward advancing policy recommendations for consideration by United States and African governments that will create more opportunities for investments and partnerships with the private sector and multinational organizations.
The New Niger Agenda has taken center stage and has attracted global interest.
As such, His Excellency Mohammed Umaru Bago continues to embark on these partnerships to find more opportunities to finance sustainable agriculture to accelerate development, improve yields, and guarantee food security.
