Nigeria as woke up from slumber and poised to move the world – Shettima tells World Leaders

Nigeria wants genuine investment relationships, not charity from the international community, according to Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Shettima made this revelation on Monday during a speech at the UN summit in Rome on the World Food Systems Financing Model.

Shettima emphasized that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is prepared to redefine leadership in Nigeria in a message posted on his official Twitter account.

He emphasized that recent policies by Tinubu’s administration, such as the elimination of fuel subsidies and reforms to the foreign exchange market, are proof of its welcoming attitude toward investment prospects.

“Nigeria, the Giant of Africa, has awakened from its slumber and is now positioned to move the world. President Bola Tinubu is poised to reinvent the definition and notion of modern leadership in Nigeria.

“Real relationships, not handouts, are what Nigeria needs. We no longer have to worry about the albatrosses of fuel subsidies and fluctuating exchange rates, therefore we are looking for investments rather than freebies.

After the abolition of fuel subsidies, Nigeria reported increased income of N1.9 trillion for June, of which N907 billion was given to the federal, state, and local governments.
