Nigeria’s richest woman, Folorunsho Alakija, splits from husband after over 30yrs of marriage

Folorunsho Alakija, Nigeria’s richest lady, and her husband of 30 years, Modupe Alakija, have split up, according to TheWill.

The mother of four and the businessman are said to no longer reside together in their marital house in upscale Ikoyi, Lagos.

The pair was claimed to have frequent squabbles, which prompted the wealthy woman to want complete seclusion in her home. Her husband was obliged to look for alternative living arrangements.

He supposedly lives alone in the same Ikoyi neighbourhood.

According to sources, the couple has not had it easy in recent years, and they have supposedly been obliged to present a united face as a result of their social standing, the story said.
