Ododo makes first appointments as Kogi Gov

On his first day in office, newly sworn-in Kogi Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo appointed cabinet members and top aides.

During his inauguration speech, he declared that some commissioners’ nominations will be forwarded to the Assembly for speedy approval as State Executive Council (SEC) members.

According to The Nation, Ododo was sworn in as Kogi’s fifth elected governor on Saturday afternoon.

The majority of the Commissioner nominees were from Governor Yahaya Bello’s most recent government.

They include Folashade Ayoade Arike, Kingsley Fanwo, Deedat Salami Ozigi, the former SSG, and numerous assistants who have been designated with immediate effect.
