(Ondo) Man attacks wife with machete for opposing affair with step-daughter

Kehinde Olanipekun, a middle-aged man, is being sought by police from the Ondo state command after he allegedly macheted his wife Damilola Olanipekun for questioning him about having extramarital encounters with his step-daughter.

The suspect allegedly beat his wife severely after she accused him of stalking and trying to have a sexual relationship with his stepdaughter while the wife was out of town.

The victim’s husband fled after carrying out the heinous deed, while the victims’ neighbors in the Idashen neighborhood of Owo in Owo local government area of the state hurried the woman to Federal Medical Center, Owo, but she was transferred to another hospital due to the severity of her injuries.

Speaking about the event, Damilola revealed that her husband had been trying to have a sexual relationship with their 14-year-old daughter and tormenting her in other ways. The girl had to come to her when the pressure from her stepfather got to be too much, she said.

According to the hurt wife, the young girl did not report the harassment as soon as it occurred in order to salvage her marriage, but instead had to muster up the confidence to inform her mother in order to stop the step-dad from bothering her at home.

She said

” I was surprised with the revelation and confronted my husband who did not deny it but apologized to me, admitting that he was wrong and pledged not to embark on such act again.

But I was surprised to see him returning home shortly after he left for work some three days after the allegation and said the rain has been affecting his business. He sent the two kids at home on errands and dashed into the room.

He returned into the sitting room with a cutlass, and said he wants to clear his farm but within a twinkle of an eye, he dragged me into the room, locked the door and hitting me with the cutlass severally.

“He continue hitting me, while I shouted for help but the door has been locked and it took the neighbors several minutes before they forced the door opened and he bolted away, leaving me in my pool of blood.
