Abia State Governor Alex Otti has handed a staff of office to Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, the traditional ruler of the Ikwu Orie Ohanku Ndoki Autonomous Community in Ukwa East Local Government Area.
Apostle Chibuzor is the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry, or OPM.
The governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Uzo Nwachukwu, presented the staff of office and a letter of recognition to the traditional ruler. The event came after the community’s overwhelming acceptance and presentation of the Apostle as the Eze-elect.
While congratulating the Apostle on his new position, the governor challenged him to justify his people’s confidence in him and urged the community to provide him with the necessary assistance to succeed.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Florence Nwogu, and the Director of Chieftaincy, Chuka Agomoh, stated that Apostle Chibuzor met all of the conditions to become a monarch and was unanimously approved for the position.
Mr Kenneth Nwachi, a community member, stated that the presentation of the office personnel to the new traditional ruler elicited excitement among the locals.
