Pat Utomi a political economy professor and management specialist stated in a tweet on Friday that a biopsy he had done in 2022 had confirmed that he was positive.
He posted:
“When a biopsy showed I was positive in 2022, I began treatment with a branch of a cancer centre in Ikeja and VI.
“I sometimes came from election campaigns to the centre near the Airport. The doctors would try to smuggle me out from the back.”
He added that after the election, the Lakeshore residents banded together with his young nephews and cousins who were practicing medicine in Europe and the US and decided they wanted him to be under their direct supervision.
“That is why it seemed I went quiet because they controlled my phones to reduce stress,” he stated.
