PDP chairmanship tussle: Damagum safe as leadership change misses on NEC agenda

It has already been established that the item is not on the agenda of the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, which is scheduled to take place at 2:00 pm, despite multiple rumors regarding a potential change in party leadership.
Recall, Platinum Times had reported that loyalists of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, were upbeat about the possibility of Amb. Umar Damagum, continuing in office as Acting National Chairman.
The 52 member national caucus of the party normally take decisions on the agenda to be discussed at NEC.
