PEPT: Anti-bomb experts spotted in courtroom

Anti-bomb experts from the Department of the State Services, DSS, have taken over the courtroom where the ruling is scheduled to be given today regarding disputes pertaining to the 2023 presidential election.

A total of 12 experts are searching the courtroom for potential explosives and other dangerous weapons.

When the security personnel arrived, they immediately ordered everyone inside the courtroom to leave so they could take charge of security.

Lawyers, journalists, and politicians with credentials to enter the courtroom are remained outside as of the time of publication while the security professionals finish the screening.

To protect the peace both within and outside the Court of Appeal premises, suitable security has been put in place.

All access roads to the court have been closed to vehicular traffic.

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the former Deputy President of the Senate, is one of the prominent politicians in the area.
