Police arrest Ogun Native doctor with human corpse

Agents of the Ogun State Amotekun Corps have detained a suspected local doctor who was carrying a recently deceased body.
Babatunde Kolawole, a self-described local physician, was taken into custody in Ogun State’s Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area.
In a statement released on Sunday, the police spokesperson in Ogun, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest and claimed that the man who was caught along with the male body told the Amotekun Corps agents that he was attempting to revive the victim.
Despite not denying the occurrence, the suspect “claimed to be a native doctor who was trying to revive the deceased,” according to Odutola.
It is still unknown, according to her, how Kolawole “obtained the fresh corpse during the late hours of the night.”
She claimed that no one had come forward to claim the body and that the suspect had still not provided any additional details on the body’s origin.
According to reports, the body was brought to the Ifo General Hospital for an autopsy “in order to gather more information and solve the case.”
The Sango-Ota Divisional Police Officer has also encouraged members of the public to come forward and offer pertinent information about the event.
