Police storm Abuja game house, nab 311 alleged kidnappers

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) raided a game house in Zuba, a suburb of Abuja in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), arresting 311 people for kidnapping, drug trafficking, and other illicit activity.
FCT Police Commissioner, CP Ben Igweh, paraded the suspects in Abuja on Monday, stating that they consisted of 297 males and 14 girls.
The Commissioner added that the police received information from a citizen in the vicinity who suspected unlawful activities at the gaming business.
He claimed the residence acts as a rest and convergence point for kidnappers terrorizing the FCT and neighboring states of Niger, Nasarawa, Kogi, and Kaduna.
He stated that during the operation, weapons, charms, codeine, India hemp, cutlasses, phones, and motorcycles, among other items, were seized.
The Police Commissioner, on the other hand, stated that the accused will face legal charges following a full investigation and screening.
