Reconciliation stalls as Shaibu moves out of Edo Govt House

Phillip Shaibu, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, has moved his office outside the State Government House.

Despite having withdrawn his lawsuit against Governor Godwin Obaseki, this is the case.

Channels Television reports that Shaibu has moved his office away from the Edo Government House.

The anti-impeachment lawsuit Shaibu launched against Obaseki at a High Court in Abuja has been withdrawn.

The Deputy Governor filed a lawsuit with reference number FHC/ABJ/CS/1027/2023 to prevent the Governor from trying to impeach him.

But Shaibu, who has clashed with the Edo helmsman, also referred to the governor as his employer and older brother in a statement he personally signed.

People could have believed that a reconciliation was about to take place, however the Deputy Governor has now moved his office.

The Deputy Governor gave his justifications for abandoning the lawsuit, citing conversations he and his principal had with certain well-intentioned Nigerians and Edolites.
