Rema hints collaboration with Nicki Minaj, Megan Thee Stallion

Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, a Nigerian award-winning singer and rapper, has voiced his desire to collaborate with American music superstars such as Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion.

Rema said this following the success of his smash duet with Selena Gomez, ‘Calm Down.’

The 23-year-old Benin-born musician disclosed in a brief interview with Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in New Jersey, the United States, that he wished to work with female superstars more.

Rema said,

“I’m hoping to meet Meg (Thee Stallion), Nicki Minaj for possible collaborations. Who else? Yeah, I wanna link up with girls dem.”

Rema surpassed Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and others to become the first-ever winner of the newly minted “Best Afrobeats Song” category during the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, USA.

Selena Gomez, Rema’s second in the ‘Calm Down’ song, quickly sent her love to Nigeria. Rema was named Best Afrobeats winner at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).

Rema created history by defeating those nominated beside him.
