The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, presented Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State with a Certificate of Return on Friday.
INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state gave the certificate to Uzodinma in Owerri, Imo State.
INEC declared Uzodinma the winner of the state’s off-cycle governorship election on Saturday after he received the most votes.
The re-elected governor defeated his Labour Party rival, Athan Achonu, and Peoples Democratic Party candidate Samuel Anyanwu.
