The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has granted a certificate of return to Douye Diri, the Bayelsa State Governor and Peoples Democratic Party candidate.
Diri was elected governor of the state on November 11.
Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, the deputy governor of Bayelsa State and Diri’s running mate, also obtained his certificate of return.
May Agbamuche-Mbu, the INEC national commissioner in charge of Akwa Ibom, Rivers, and Bayelsa, delivered the certificates of return to Diri and Ewhrudjakpo at the Prof. Mahmood Yakubu Media Centre INEC state headquarters in Yenagoa.
