Simon Ekpa is a weapon fashioned against Igbos, serial fraudster – IPOB Lawyer
Simon Ekpa, a pro-Biafra agitator residing in Finland, has been referred to as a serial fraudster by Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the primary counsel for Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB.
Ejiofor made the remark while pointing out that Ekpa was not qualified to comment on Kanu’s state of health.
Ekpa has stated that Kanu might pass away while in the Department of State Services’ (DSS) care.
Kanu has been incarcerated by the DSS since June 2021, when he was detained and transported from Kenya to Nigeria under strange circumstances.
The Nigerian government has refused to release him despite the Appeal Court’s instruction to do so after dismissing and clearing him of all charges related to terrorism.
But Ekpa had asserted that Kanu’s condition was deteriorating and that if something wasn’t done soon, he might pass away.
Ejiofor responded by accusing Ekpa of misleading trusting Igbos by using Kanu’s name.
A statement by Ejiofor said:
“This serial fraudster- Simon Ekpa, is not in any position to speak on the medical health condition of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
“In a bid to play on the emotions of Biafrans and exploit the genuine love they have for #MNK, the crime personified in Finland, quickly resorted to the use of the revered name of #MNK in his latest failed scheme, to keep his remaining gullible followers busy.
“Unfortunately, some people who ought to have learned much about this conman, are busy running with the false story which is a product of the evil imagination of a sick and depraved mind.
“The serial fraudster in Finland is a crime against humanity and a weapon fashioned against the entire Igbo race, and should be treated as such.”
