Suit seeking to sack Hope Uzodinma at Supreme Court adjourned
The hearing on the All Progressives Grand Alliance’s request to have Hope Uzodinma removed from her position as governor of Imo state has been pushed out to December 5 by the Supreme Court.
October 31, 2023 was the date set by the highest court to begin the hearing on the case.
The Peoples Democratic Party’s Emeka Ihedioha was declared the winner of the 2020 election by the Supreme Court, leading the APGA to submit an application arguing that a new election should have been held in the state.
The party claimed that because Ihedioha and the PDP did not contest Uzodinma’s nomination in the appeal with the case number SC/1462/2019, the Supreme Court did not rule on its legitimacy.
