Suspense as man storm Taraba varsity, stab final year student

On Friday, a student at the state university was reported stabbed in the neck in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State.

The tragedy occurs just one day after a secondary school teacher in the state was stabbed to death.

According to Abdullahi Usman, the Taraba State Police Command Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the report to Platinum Times, the event occurred today in the university’s mosque.

He said:

“On November 10, 2023, at about 9:15 am, information was received from the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Sunkani, the administrative headquarters of Ardo-Kola, that one Abdulrashid Ibrahim, a student of the university, was stabbed by a suspect, Abdullahi Babangida Ahmed.”

The victim, according to the police, was a final-year student of the Faculty of Health Science Department of Medical Laboratory at the university. He reportedly met the suspect sleeping inside the university mosque and asked questions about his mission inside the mosque.

An altercation ensued between the two of them, leading to the suspect stabbing the student in the neck with a knife.
